🔁 POWER RECYCLING IN NIGERIA: WHY THE SAME FACES NEVER LEAVE

Image
INTRODUCTION  Nigeria is a country with a rich population of energetic, educated youth, yet many leadership positions remain occupied by individuals who have served in government for decades. This persistent trend of power recycling has become a national issue that demands thoughtful attention. 🏛️ WHEN FAMILIAR NAMES KEEP RETURNING From military eras to democratic elections, many of Nigeria's top political figures have maintained influence across changing governments. While experience is valuable, the absence of new voices in leadership stifles innovation and weakens democracy. Citizens often witness the same leaders returning in various capacities—moving from one role to another—without substantial evidence of progress or accountability. 👥 AGE IS NOT THE ISSUE—ACCESS AND OPPORTUNITY ARE The concern is not about age, but about access. When political opportunities are restricted to a few individuals or families, younger, qualified Nigerians are sidelined. For democracy to thrive, ...

THE BETRAYAL OF THE PEOPLE: WHY MANY POLITICIANS MUST NEVER BE FORGIVEN

Image
INTRODUCTION In every election season, they wear the clothes of the poor, kneel beside market women, carry babies, and promise heaven on earth. They say, “This time will be different.” They vow to fix roads, create jobs, pay salaries, and secure lives. The people clap, dance, and vote. But as soon as power is handed over to them, the same people who begged during campaigns become emperors. They close the gate, silence their phones, and forget the very people who suffered under the sun to vote them in. This is betrayal. THE NATURE OF THE BETRAYAL The roads remain broken. Salaries remain unpaid. Hospitals lack basic drugs. Insecurity grows. Students are idle. Pensioners are dying. And what do these politicians do? They fly private jets, send their children abroad, buy houses in Dubai, and keep repeating one thing: “We are working.” But we ask: Working for who? Certainly not the ordinary people. WHY THEY MUST NOT BE FORGIVEN It is not just failure — it is betrayal. When a man is trusted w...

ADC IS WELCOME—ONLY IF PETER OBI LEADS

Image
In this defining moment of our political journey, my loyalty remains clear and unwavering, I stand with Peter Obi. He is not just a politician; he is the grand pillar of a new Nigeria. His leadership, vision, and integrity remain unmatched in our contemporary democratic history. The recent disruptions in the Labour Party, orchestrated and sustained by individuals like Julius Abure, have become unbearable. Rather than build, they divide. Rather than unite the Nigerian people around purpose and principle, they fuel personal ambition at the expense of national progress. If these internal forces have chosen to betray the people’s hope, then it is only wise we redirect our energy—not away from the movement, but away from those sabotaging it. This is why the African Democratic Congress (ADC) becomes an option—not because of the name or structure, but only if Peter Obi becomes its presidential candidate. Let me be very clear: I will only support ADC if Peter Obi flies its flag. Without Peter ...

A STRONG WARNING TO NIGERIA’S AUTHORITIES AND INEC: THE PEOPLE DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY AND INTEGRITY

Image
As the voice of the people, I must issue a powerful and unambiguous warning to the Nigerian authorities and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) regarding the deep and troubling issues that have plagued our electoral process. The 2023 presidential election and its aftermath have laid bare serious concerns about the credibility, transparency, and fairness of the system that is supposed to uphold the sacred right of every Nigerian to freely choose their leaders. The Electoral Process Under Siege Elections are the cornerstone of democracy. They are the mechanism through which the people’s will is expressed and respected. However, recent events have shown that our electoral process is under siege by systemic malpractices. Reports of vote rigging, result manipulation, the malfunctioning and suspicious operation of BVAS devices, and the inexplicable shutdowns and discrepancies in the iREV portal have cast a shadow of doubt over the legitimacy of the declared results. The wide...
