THE BETRAYAL OF THE PEOPLE: WHY MANY POLITICIANS MUST NEVER BE FORGIVEN

INTRODUCTION

In every election season, they wear the clothes of the poor, kneel beside market women, carry babies, and promise heaven on earth. They say, “This time will be different.” They vow to fix roads, create jobs, pay salaries, and secure lives. The people clap, dance, and vote.

But as soon as power is handed over to them, the same people who begged during campaigns become emperors.

They close the gate, silence their phones, and forget the very people who suffered under the sun to vote them in.

This is betrayal.

THE NATURE OF THE BETRAYAL

The roads remain broken.

Salaries remain unpaid.

Hospitals lack basic drugs.

Insecurity grows.

Students are idle.

Pensioners are dying.

And what do these politicians do?

They fly private jets, send their children abroad, buy houses in Dubai, and keep repeating one thing:

“We are working.”

But we ask: Working for who?

Certainly not the ordinary people.

WHY THEY MUST NOT BE FORGIVEN

It is not just failure — it is betrayal.

When a man is trusted with power and he uses it to enrich himself while the people starve, that man is worse than a thief.

He is a traitor.

Some say, “Let’s move on.”

But how do we move on when:

Mothers are losing children because clinics have no drugs?

Students are dropping out because of strikes and hunger?

Our villages have no water, no light, no hope?

We cannot forget.

We must not forget.

HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE

We must name them.

We must shame them.

We must reject their children and proxies who come to continue their wickedness.

We must remind them: the people are not fools.

CONCLUSION

As the voice of the people, I must speak.

This betrayal cannot go unchallenged.

The time of silence is over.

The time of awakening has come.

Never again shall we vote for sweet tongues and empty promises.

We will vote for character, for truth, and for justice.

The betrayers must go  and they must never return.
