In times like these—when our people are under attack, our lands are stained with the blood of the innocent, and our leaders turn away in silence—we are tempted to lose hope. But hope is not weakness. Hope is power. It is the force that moves nations, awakens courage, and births new beginnings.


We have seen too many graves dug in Plateau, Benue, Southern Kaduna, and other corners of this nation where justice seems buried. But we must not let despair be the end of our story.


As the voice of the people, I must say: our pain must become our prophecy. We must not give up. Not now. Not ever.


Let us rise from this mountain of despair, and let each voice, each step, each action be the stone of hope that rebuilds our land.

In just two years, the current administration led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has pushed Nigeria’s public debt to an alarming *₦149.39 trillion* (about *97.24 billion*). Even more concerning, the government is still seeking additional loans — including a recent request for *1.75 billion from the World Bank*. This raises serious questions:   *How can a resource-rich nation like Nigeria be drowning in debt so quickly?*   We have abundant oil, gas, solid minerals, fertile land, and a vibrant population — yet, rather than managing and maximizing these resources, we are depending on foreign loans to run basic government operations. In a passionate address recently shared by Barr. Ugo Ugwunnadi, he expressed deep frustration at the way Nigeria's political class continues to recycle themselves in power while ordinary citizens applaud them blindly. He highlighted how some individuals have occupied multiple key positions—commissioner, House of Assembly member, House of Representatives member, Secretary to the State Government, governor—without giving room for fresh leadership. One striking example he gave was that of a former chairman of Igbo Etiti Local Government, who was under 17 when his father was governor, yet later rose to become chairman. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s trip to Brazil — presented as a diplomatic mission to strengthen economic ties — has drawn serious concern among Nigerians. While the presidency claims the trip is meant to attract investment and build international relationships, *as citizens of this country, we see it as another wasteful, self-serving outing disconnected from the real struggles at home*.
